Working at FHWS since 1 October 2020

For me, FHWS is ...
one big family with diversity among its many members.

What do you appreciate about FHWS?

At FHWS, I appreciate that all members help each other.

What was the best decision in your professional career and why? What has changed since then?

At first, I had started a dual cooperative study programme in Hamburg. However, due to personal and Covid-related reasons, I moved back to Würzburg. Having found my place at FHWS, I am happy to have made this decision.

What do you think has shaped FHWS the most over the last 50 years?

Influences by many different professors, employees, students from Germany and from abroad, have made FHWS the place it is today.

What is your vision of the future for FHWS? What might FHWS look like in 50 years’ time?

I envision FHWS as an institution combining social and environmental aspects. Over the next 50 years, FHWS will continue to grow: new degree programmes, digitised bureaucracy, but still a place where you love to spend your time.

What is your insider tip for the cities of Würzburg or Schweinfurt and why?

I highly recommend going on a night time walk in the vineyards during the summer. From there, you can see the city lights from above. A tip for my fellow students is the “Studiblock APP”, where students can find savings coupons for food and cafés, as well as job ads etc.
