Shaping the future together
The Technical University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt invites you to become part of shaping an innovative and sustainable future. With your support, we can advance important research projects, promote young talent, and contribute to solving global challenges.
Why donate, endow, or bequeath?
Your donation or contribution helps to support excellent research and the transfer of knowledge and technology to society. In a rapidly changing world, education is the key to progress and innovation. By supporting our University, you are investing in education, research and the next generation of scientists.
How you can get involved:
1. One-time donation
Requirements: All natural and legal persons can make a one-time donation to THWS. Such donations are tax-deductible, and we will gladly issue a donation receipt.
Benefits: Your donation enables the direct funding of current projects, research, and transfer structures, or supports important programmes for young scientists and researchers.
2. Regular donations
Requirements: Regular donations can be set up by direct debit or standing order. This means that even small amounts can have a big impact over time.
Advantages: They enable the University to provide financial resources for long-term planning and thus to run sustainable projects.
3. Bequests and inheritances
Requirements: In order to include the university in your will with a bequest or inheritance, it is important to seek legal advice in good time and to clearly define the desired form of donation. A bequest is tax-exempt, which means that the entire amount will be used for the desired purpose.
Advantages: You create a lasting legacy for future generations by ensuring that your values and visionary ideas live on.
4. Participation in TTZ or endowed professorship (earmarked, multi-year commitment)
As a legal entity, but of course also as a private individual, you can participate in the funding of one of our technology transfer centres, e.g. in the form of co-financing the associated endowed professorship.
Requirements: Earmarked donations require precise agreements to ensure that the funds are used in the selected area or project. We are at your disposal to implement these wishes in a binding manner.
Advantages: You have control over which area benefits from your support, e.g. specialised research institutions or innovative scientific methods.
5. Doctoral scholarships@THWS
Requirements: Companies or other institutions can get involved in promoting young talent at THWS through a doctoral scholarship. The funds must be allocated to the University before the planned funding period, which then distributes the funds to young talents.
Advantages: With your financial support, we award scholarships to young researchers with a master's degree who are conducting or intend to conduct research at THWS in a subject area of their choice as part of a doctoral programme. The type of scholarship and the amount of funding are flexible.
In addition to the general contacts in the fundraising department, Dr. Simone Stork, an employee at the Campus for Applied Research, is happy to answer any further questions you may have about the specific focus of the doctoral scholarships.
Do you see potential for cooperation?
If you would also like to become part of a future-oriented network and promote the development of research, teaching, and innovation at THWS, we would be delighted to have your support. Whether as a partner, donor, or sponsor, your involvement will help to further strengthen the University and shape the future together with us.
