thws Hackathon
Hey there!
We, at CAIRO.thws, regularly organize hackathons (usually once per semeste) focusing on a variety of AI-related topics in collaboration with regional companies. These events are designed to bring together students, professionals, and AI enthusiasts to tackle real-world challenges, explore new ideas, and gain hands-on experience in a collaborative environment.
Our most recent hackathon, which focused on AI in Human Resources, took place on October 17th and was a great success! Participants had the opportunity to work on practical projects from BMW, Universitätsklinikum Würzburg, JOPP, and more; learn from experts in the field, and connect with like-minded peers. Although this event is now over, it has set the stage for even more exciting challenges ahead.
Right now, we’re busy preparing our next hackathon for the Summer semester 2026, likely scheduled for April. We can’t reveal all the details just yet, but you can expect another exciting topic, great company collaborations, and plenty of opportunities to showcase your skills and creativity.

Join a team and build AI-powered prototypes. Collaborate across disciplines, experiment with ideas, and pitch your solution at the end of the event. - As a Visitor
Attend to explore the latest trends in AI. Listen to inspiring talks, meet participants and partners, and get a front-row seat to the final pitches and demos without actively hacking.
