We ask for your ideas to make the city of Schweinfurt even more liveable:

On Saturday, 23 October, 10:00 h to 16:00 h, the EntrepreneurSHIP project of THWS invites you to a full-day "IdeasCamp" on Schweinfurt's market square. The City of Schweinfurt is supporting this by providing the infrastructure. The start-up centre GRIBS also provides an advisory service for citizens. Under the motto "Our Region - Our Future: Developing sustainable ideas for a liveable city", mixed teams of (international) students from THWS, trainees from regional companies and citizens will create business ideas and present them on stage.

A few words on participating in the IdeasCamp:

The participants deal with the current demands of the personal environment, the working world(s) and with life models of the future. Participants are given the appropriate tools for this. At the end of the IdeasCamp, the results are presented to the audience at the market square. The motivation to create projects together with students, apprentices, and citizens will be accompanied by a professional training team from EntrepreneurSHIP, which will provide technical and methodological guidance throughout the day. In addition to gaining purely technical knowledge, all participants can also take away professionally relevant soft skills such as the solution-oriented and scientific approach. They train to take responsibility in a team, to realise work within a set time frame, diligence, critical faculties and learning from mistakes. Through the participation of international students from THWS, it is also possible to look beyond the "end of one's nose" to an expanded exchange of different cultures, histories, perspectives and ideas. The IdeasCamp will be accompanied by a stand of the THWS International Office: Here, interested citizens can find out from international students and THWS staff about the diversity of university internationalisation and the wide range of opportunities and projects and how the region of Lower Franconia benefits from internationalisation. No previous knowledge is required, participation is free of charge. Real-world problems – Real-world solutions: Digitisation presents great challenges to businesses, requiring creative ideas. We are looking to find such solutions on Thursday, 28 Apr. 2022 in the Starthouse in Lohr/Main: Students of THWS work on digital solutions to real-world problems encountered in regional businesses. The best solutions will be presented at 17:00 h at the Lohr city hall. All who are interested in modern business development, fresh ideas and experiencing a “hands-on” start-up feeling are cordially invited.

 

An evening of inspiration and networking

Over the course of the day, students will form ten teams and work on “real-world problems” from the economy. Among them are challenges from diverse areas, e. g. a “digital driver schedules”, a “virtual cafeteria”, and “digital networks”. The students’ solutions are then presented in the large evening event, and the jury’s decision is announced.

The following schedule is planned:

-        17:00 h: Reception & warm-up with a retrospect of the day

-        17:30 h: The teams present the solutions they have worked on

-        18:15 h: Jury decision & award ceremony

-        18:30 h: After-show party & Networking until 19:00 h

About the event

The Start-Up! competition is a co-operative pilot project of the Digital Start-Up Centre in Lohr/Main and of the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt. As part of the national “Girls’ Day”, female pupils also gained the opportunity to participate in the event through a wildcard.

Geschäftsideen während einer kreativen Nacht mit Gleichgesinnten weiterentwickeln – diese Möglichkeit bietet die Gründer:innen-Nacht. Zum Auftakt der bundesweiten Gründerwoche findet an der Hochschule für angewandte Wissenschaften Würzburg-Schweinfurt (FHWS) die „4. CAMPUS Startup NIGHT“ statt. Am Freitag und Samstag, 11. und 12. November, werden internationale Teams mit Studierenden in Schweinfurt antreten, um alle Vorphasen der Gründung eines Unternehmens zu durchlaufen.

Speed networking, blind date for start-ups and SMEs

During the speed dating, exchange of business contacts and the presentation of one’s own portfolio are in focus. If both business profiles match, the participants can get into a business relationship. 

Networking - but in a different way!

Start-ups and founders from all industries use the opportunity for exchange with SMEs in an individual “blind date”, connected through a matching system. Focussed conversations about specific questions and facts, e. g. which skills start-ups and SMEs need for a sustainable and positive co-operation. Get to know and benefit from each other.

Participating in the networking event is free of charge, but we recommend that you register, providing a bit of business information.

“Female Founders”: The virtual conference for female start-up founders, students, alumni and women interested in founding a start-up!

You are interested in entrepreneurship, or are already considering or planning the founding of a business? You wish to be sensitised, inspired, and motivated by successful women in the start-up culture?

Then sign up for the virtual “Female Founders” conference taking place on Thursday, 18 Nov. 2021 from 18:00 h to 20:00 h!

Expect interesting business insights from female founders and coaches and implementation strategies through exciting keynote speeches. In a panel discussion, the stakeholders will answer the questions of the moderator team and the participants on various aspects of founding and the challenges of "Female Founders".

Participation is free of charge and is managed by THWS in co-operation with the IHK Würzburg Schweinfurt (Chamber of Industry and Commerce), the ZDI Mainfranken and the IGZ Würzburg.

Make your ideas become reality - You will receive all the help you need and only take minimal risk: The “5 Euro-StartUp” competition allows students to start their own business with just 5 Euro of initial capital and to see how their ideas work on the market within short time. The participants are supported in finding their ideas and in building a team to accompany them during the practical phase. Besides, several lectures on marketing, project management, communication and legal conditions are offered.

It takes place every Tuesday, starting on 29 March 2022 from 15:15 h to 16:45 h / 18:30 h. The general elective module alternates between digital meetings and conventional lectures in the main THWS building in Münzstr. 12 in Würzburg. You will receive 5 ECTS credits for completing this module.

Ihr findet die Startup-Szene spannend und könnt euch vorstellen, später einmal selbst zu gründen oder bei einem Startup zu arbeiten? Dann ist die Startup-Challenge genau das richtige für euch.

In diesem Online-Startup-Game gründet ihr im Rahmen einer Online Business Simulation spielerisch ein Startup und managt eine erfolgreiche Markteinführung. Die Siegerteams erhalten Geldpreise von insgesamt 6000€.

Die Startup Challenge ist wie ein Trainingslager für zukünftige Gründer!

Das Spiel läuft komplett online. Die Branche ist vorgegeben. In 6 Spielrunden plant ihr den Markteintritt eures Startups, designt das Produkt, baut eine Produktion auf, organisiert Marketing und Vertrieb und reagiert auf das Markt- und Kundenfeedback. Auch Social Corporate Responsibility und Nachhaltigkeit spielen dabei eine wichtige Rolle.

Team-Arbeit ist wie in einem richtigen Startup sehr wichtig. So schafft ihr das Spiel locker neben eurem Studium. Denn der Zeitaufwand pro Woche beträgt zwischen zwei und drei Stunden.

Stellt ein Team von min. 3 bis max. 5 Personen zusammen und schildert im Anmeldeformular, warum ihr mitmachen wollt. Einzige Bedingung: Ihr seid Studierende an einer bayerischen Hochschule.

Was ist eigentlich nötig, um Menschen für das Lösen gegenwärtiger Herausforderungen zu (begeistern) interessieren? Wie könnte eine Ideenkiste aussehen, die Menschen dafür sensibilisiert, begleitet und bei der konkreten Lösung unterstützt? Was für Menschen braucht es, um so ein ganzheitliches Tool zur Förderung von zukunftsrelevanten Start-ups und Ideen zu entwickeln?

An der Hochschule Würzburg-Schweinfurt soll nun eine solche Ideenkiste entworfen werden, die besonders an Hochschulen sowie an weiteren Einrichtungen dazu genutzt werden kann, Menschen bei der Entwicklung zukunftsrelevanter Lösungen zu unterstützen. Studierende und Mitarbeitende der THWS sind eingeladen, mitzuwirken: am Montag, den 28.11., um 17:00 Uhr im Ideenlabor in der Rottendorfer Straße 71 in Würzburg.

 

Was sind die konkreten Ziele der Impact Box?

Die sogenannte „Impact Box“ verfolgt drei Ziele: Erstens soll ein Bewusstsein für

die Herausforderungen der Zeit geschaffen werden als Anstoß und Handlungsantrieb. Zweitens soll die Box bei der Entwicklung von Lösungen und Geschäftsmodellen zur Bewältigung dieser Herausforderungen helfen. Drittens soll sie die Nutzenden mit dem Gründungsökosystem vernetzen und so bei der Umsetzung der Geschäftsmodelle behilflich sein.

 

Wer kann bei der Entwicklung unterstützen?

-        Du bist Gründerin oder Gründer und möchtest deine Erfahrungen in die Box miteinfließen lassen?

-        Du bist Studentin oder Student und weißt, was dich ansprechen würde und was nicht?

-        Du bist Expertin oder Experte für die Herausforderungen der Zeit, Nachhaltigkeit, SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals, Ziele für nachhaltige Entwicklung), soziale Innovationen, etc. oder zumindest gut darüber informiert.

-        Du bist Gründungsberaterin oder -berater und kennst Tools und Techniken, die bei der Entwicklung von Ideen nicht fehlen dürfen?

-        Du bist grundsätzlich einfach ein großer Fan von den Themen Social Entrepreneurship, Social Innovations, Impact-Orientierung, etc. und willst dein Wissen in die Box mit einfließen lassen

-        Du bist Wissenschaftlerin oder Wissenschaftler und kannst dein Wissen hier optimal mit einbringen?

-        Du bist Gestalterin oder Gestalter und hilfst uns dabei, dass die Box auch optisch überzeugt?

Über das Projekt

Der Workshop ist ein Format des Projekts EntrepreneurSHIP (als EXIST-Potentiale Projekt gefördert durch das BMWK) in Kooperation mit der Impact Circle-Initiative der drei Gründerzentren und dem Startup Remindfully. Gemeinsam will das Team mit der Impact Box einen Beitrag leisten zur Förderung zukunftsrelevanter Gründungsideen in Unterfranken.

Das Projekt EntrepreneurSHIP und das Kino Central laden THWS-Studierende, Mitarbeitende und alle gründungsinteressierten Filmfans ins Kino ein: Film ab für spannende Gründungspersönlichkeiten! Im Sommersemester zeigen wir in stilechter Atmosphäre drei Filmhighlights, basierend auf wahren Begebenheiten. Die Geschichten sind überraschend, inspirierend, manchmal auch kontrovers und bieten jede Menge Grundlage für anschließenden Austausch. Den Auftakt macht am 27.04. „Das Streben nach Glück“ von 2006. Die Geschichte über den Unternehmer Chris Gardner dreht sich um die „großen Fragen“: Wann sind wir eigentlich glücklich?

Der Abend beginnt mit einer kurzen Einführung, gefolgt von der Filmvorführung in deutscher Sprache und abschließendem Austausch im Kinofoyer.

 

Die ersten 50 THWS-Studierenden und Mitarbeitenden erhalten freien Eintritt! Ausweis bitte nicht vergessen! Auch Filmfans ohne Hochschulbezug sind herzlich eingeladen!
