Areas of Duty

Fabian Scheller is professor in Energy and Resource Efficiency and currently head of the Institute of Sustainable Energy Systems (INSYS) at the Technical University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt (THWS). Additionally, he established and lead the research group Energy System Management and Technology Integration at the Center for Applied Energy Research (CAE). 

His research delves deeply into the techno-socio-economic aspects of multi-energy systems. He is is particularly passionate to creating and utilizing energy system models, particularly to answer research queries about the uptake and incorporation of sustainable technologies at the municipal level. 

In 2019, he was awarded the prestigious Ørsted/Marie Curie post-doctoral fellowship. Subsequently, he worked as an assistant professor at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). He obtained his doctoral degree from Leipzig University.
