Institute for Sustainable Energy Systems - INSYS
The Institute for Sustainable Energy Systems (INSYS) at the THWS conducts interdisciplinary research into sustainable energy systems. The aim is to develop resource-saving, cross-sector technologies to support the energy transition and climate protection. The focus is on data-based analyses, energy and climate systems, recycling management, life cycle management, sensor technology and data analysis.
Five research professors and around 20 employees from various disciplines work closely with industry, practice and the public sector. As a cross-faculty institute, INSYS promotes cooperation between the faculties and involves students in projects - for a practical, sustainable transformation of energy and resource systems in the region.
