Institute of Digital Engineering (IDEE)

IDEE is a cross-faculty institute at THWS. There are five research professors leading the IDEE in the field of Industry 4.0. They are supported by colleagues with an affinity for research.

The research professorships are distinguished by their special research mandate, which goes hand in hand with a teaching load reduction.

The IDEE is divided into centres responsible for certain topics, however, interdisciplinary work regarding the required competences for Industry 4.0 are at the forefront.
