A vision in research and technology transfer

The self-concept of research at the IDEE of THWS is decisively shaped by aspects of

• interdisciplinarity and
• application orientation. 

The pretence is always to work on relevant, regional topics

• responsibly,
• scientifically precise and
• sustainably,

and to transfer the resulting findings into practice in co-operation with our research partners in the most profitable way.

The results of our research shall influence teaching retroactively and also be applied in the respective industry.

With this motivation for research, IDEE wants to contribute to technical, economic as well as the multi-layered challenges of the digital transformation.
