The new Startup Lab WERK:RAUM is a meeting place, a place for networking and innovation, that says Startup Spirit on all four levels. Different creative spaces call for vivid brainstorming, for teamwork, and for the elaboration of ideas, all of which can be directly tested in practice in the fully equipped labs.
The WERK:RAUM portfolio is complemented by a mentoring programme, events and workshops on topics like Design Thinking, Lean Startup and Lego Serious Play.

WERK:RAUM portfolio
Through its integral concept of competence-developing, spatial, and organisational elements, the startup lab project WERK:RAUM aims to promote entrepreneurial activities at the Technical University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt, and thus in the entire region of Main-Franconia.
THWS is particularly keen on offering free spaces for research and startup under the protection of the higher education institution to convey innovative and economic thinking and societal values. Primarily for startup activities, THWS applied its startup concept WERK:RAUM to provide potential startup teams with broad range of technical and interdisciplinary support and a competitive infrastructure within an organisational framework.
WERK:RAUM constitutes the overall concept of the modules MACH:werk, TRIEB:werk and TRAG:werk. MACH:werk is a connected lab and a meeting place for innovators. TRIEB:werk supports the coordination of startup activities at THWS and TRAG:werk pools startup advice topics.
