Research profile

The Technical University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt (THWS) focuses on practice-oriented research developed in close cooperation with partners from science, industry, and society. With three central research profile areas, we focus on overcoming current and future societal challenges. Our research is aimed at solving pressing issues in the fields of energy, mobility, and digital systems and strives to make an active contribution to the further development of science, industry and society.

The THWS is characterised by an interdisciplinary and application-oriented approach that integrates all relevant scientific disciplines. In this way, we aim to develop innovative solutions for the social challenges of the future.
