Examinations and grades

Which examinations are to be taken at what point in time depends on the degree programme and on the start of studies at THWS.

For general information on this, please see "General examination deadlines for studies at THWS". For programme-specific details, please see the study and examination regulation of your degree programme.

For examinations (particularly written and oral ones) that must generally be taken during the official examination period, exam registration is binding in accordance with section 32 of the General Examination Regulations of the Technical University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt for Bachelor's and Master's Degree Programmes (German APO). Exam registration

On the page exam registration you will find all information related to registering for exams such as dates and deadlines, information regarding the compensation for disadvantages and grade improvement, deadlines for re-sits etc. Exam dates are listed by study location and degree programme as soon as available.

Grade improvement

The application for grade improvement is available in the form centre in the section on examination matters.

Grade improvement is possible in bachelor's and master's programmes. An approved application cannot be withdrawn.

Bachelor’s and master’s certificates

Every student will receive a bachelor’s or master’s certificate when all examinations have been taken successfully. On the basis of the acquired bachelor’s or master’s certificate, the University Würzburg-Schweinfurt will award the bachelor’s or master’s degree.

The following bachelor’s and master’s degrees can be earned:

  • Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)
  • Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.)
  • Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)
  • Master of Arts (M.A.)
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA)
  • Master of Engineering (M.Eng.)
  • Master of Science (M.Sc.)
