Campus and student life

To ensure that your time as a student is not only a success but also an unforgettable experience, the wider context matters too. Long evenings in the park, at the pub or in your shared flat, friendships that last a lifetime, as well as concerts, cinema and day trips are all part of the experiences that really make your time at THWS complete.

Some of our degree programmes are based in Würzburg, whilst others are based in Schweinfurt, 40 km away. The two Lower Franconian towns are linked by the River Main and offer excellent conditions for your studies.

Finding like-minded people

Studying means finding others with the same interests, putting ideas into practice together and gaining experience beyond your own subject area. Student organisations offer a wide range of opportunities for this – from university radio and motor sport to sustainability.

Students' representation

Sharing in the conversation, helping to shape things, taking part in decision-making: a higher education institution thrives on active students who voice their concerns. The THWS students' representation (STV) acts as the voice of all students – it champions their academic, financial, and social interests. In doing so, the STV promotes equal opportunities, represents diverse interests, and fosters relationships between German and international students.

University sport

University sport is a great way to balance out your studies. In Würzburg, THWS students can make use of the university's facilities, whilst in Schweinfurt there is a dedicated programme for THWS members.

With the university sports term pass, you can try out various sports and attend different classes.
