German Rectors' Conference (HRK) - Research Map

Excellent research is being conducted in Germany, and the Research Map by the German Rectors' Conference aims to inspire the formation of a network of higher education institutions. Networking plays a prominent role for the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt, and we not only like to network, we also invite others to join us.

However, to be marked on the HRK Research Map, certain criteria must be met. Two of our THWS focus areas of research (Energy technology and energy efficiency”, as well as People and Mobility”) have already been implemented, to emphasize research areas of excellence. The third research area (Digital and intelligent systems”) has just been added in February 2018.

These focus areas are support offers to businesses, research institutions and municipalities to initiate research in a target-oriented way. The interconnection of higher education institutions, businesses, civil society and science is a special factor from which all involved parties shall benefit.
