Committee for Applied Research, Knowledge and Technology Transfer (FWTT)

The Committee for Applied Research, Knowledge and Technology Transfer (FWTT) at THWS is responsible for the promotion, management and coordination of research and development activities, and knowledge and technology transfer. The committee constitutes of the elected deans, the heads of institutes, and the Vice President for Research. The Committee for Applied Research, Knowledge and Technology Transfer (FWTT) is operationally supported by the Campus for Applied Research (CAF).

FWTT's work focusses on principle research questions and knowledge and technology transfer:

• Promotion of activities at THWS, especially by involving professors in publicly subsidised and privately funded R&D projects
• THWS contributions to events, symposia, and conventions
• Transparency promotion through funding programmes and applications for large instruments and equipment
• Provision of answers to fundamental patent enquiries
• Provision of the proposal list regarding hours allocated for extracurricular tasks (reducing the teaching load)
